Tuesday, May 30, 2006 Dear All I can recall many a story where a dog has given his own life to protect his master from danger, injury and the COLD. While many good hearted souls are involved in feeding and clothing the less fortunate but very few think about 'mans best friend' and other animals. As I mentioned before Irwin's animal rescue homes more than 1 100 formerly abused, neglected animal, are in dire straights especially with the cold months ahead. Jane has miraculously arranged an 8 ton truck to take the kind donations we have already received and a special thanks to all who have so generously contributed. I can't stress enough how every donation makes a cold or hungry animal very happy. IRWIN ANIMAL RESCUE CENTRE WISH LIST People often request a wish list from us so that they can promote our cause which ever way they can; so it is for this reason we include our wish list:- 1. With animals we always need food. 2. We always need kennels. 3. There will always be a need for new gardens,so we need fencing. 4. With building gardens we always need poles and gates. 5. Building materials are always needed. 6. There is never too much bedding for the animals. 7. We always need shampoo, dip, medication, de-worming, vaccinations, and veterinary treatment. 8. We need garden tools and equipment to keep the place nice. 9. We also need financial assistance to keep the Home going. 10. Roofing for the kennels is always needed. 11. We need pre-cast walling to block the noise of the dogs to keep our neighbours happy. (we would collect 2nd hand walling & paving for the gardens) 12. We need pots and pans for un-chewable food containers. 13. We need volunteers to spend some quality time with the animals. 14. We need paint to paint the walls, kennels, poles and gates. 15. We need jumble,bric-a-brac and books to sell. 16. We need more Pets Pals and Garden Sponsors for the animals. These are all things that we make every endeavour to do or get, as and when we can.
